preschool marathon

Seton's annual preschool Marathon took place yesterday.  The kids walked twice around the school/church campus with a stop for juice hand stamp.  It is so cute to watch all the little legs walk s-l-o-w-l-y down the sidewalk.  The end results in tired legs and kids who look like they are ready for naps.  Blaise came home ate lunch and then went upstairs and fell asleep before I made it upstairs to tuck him in.

international dinner

Almost 200 people gathered in the school gym for our annual International Dinner.  The 'breaking of bread' while dining on various ethnic dishes.  And enjoying our preschoolers' artwork.

We are blessed to be in this lovely community as so many stepped up to help me setup, serve and cleanup.  We came home full of love and well let's face it just plain full!

last day

This past Wednesday was Ambrose's last day of preschool; he is now officially a kindergartner! Where does the time go? The first day of preschool when I went to pick him up I remember breathing a sigh of relief that he was in the same clothes (and hadn't had an accident).

He certainly has grown during preschool. He loves to create and come up with various projects. He always seems to be planning (oh no, I passed this on), reading and enjoying sports. But I must say I've seen the most difference socially - in addressing people and playing with friends. His teachers have also commented how much he has grown this past year. Ambrose has seen the bus go by our house and can't wait to ride it this fall. Now the question is 'am I ready'?
