Ambrose ran cross country with the Monroe YMCA. They ran every week up and down Cobbs Hill (now that is a hill!) This weekend he had his second of two meets and did outstanding! The 1.5 mile course was through the woods and up and down hills.

end of soccer and cross country
We will have a bit more free time in November as fall sports have come to an end. Blaise played CYO soccer for Seton Grades 3-4 team and they were undefeated! Blaise is fast, strong and definitely has the endurance. A little feistiness goes a long way during the game we just have to work on positioning. Damian enjoyed being one of the helpers with Coach Michela!

powers farm market
Fall . . . leaves changing, pumpkins, apples and Powers Farm Market. It is a must according to the boys. We pick out pumpkins, feed and pet the animals, walk through the teepees and go on the haunted hayride. Simplistic but a tradition that they look forward to everyone year.
how about this one? um, a little green . . . .
you know they are getting bigger when the food in their hand is eaten and not just tossed because they are afraid of the animal . . .
the haunted hayride!

running club
Stretching, chatting with friends, laughing, jumping up and down . . . all preparation for the run. Whether they run up to Cobbs Hill, around Washington Grove or around the neighborhood the boys are loving it!

notre dame
I pulled it off! After months of planning I surprised Damian for his 50th birthday. After a few clues and showing the tickets he learned we were going to a Notre Dame football game. We did it all . . . pep rally, threw the football, strolled along campus, campus tour, ate in dining halls, walked down the infamous tunnel, stood underneath the dome and watched ND vs. Duke.
The campus is exquisite - yellow brick on buildings, grotto with a stone even from France, the golden Dome, landscaping, and so much more. Football games are certainly an event at Notre Dame from the pep rally to the players walk, to the trumpets under the dome, to the game filled with excited fans. Having never been to campus before myself I was awe struck as to the beauty and the tradition. GO IRISH!!!
