first grade advent prayer service

Adorned with handmade wreath crowns,
lights glistening in the background.

Little children shared their song with joy
so proud of my little boy.

preschool prayer service

A tall girl in front of him, can you spot Blaise?  This was our view at the prayer service.  The preschoolers (who were adorable to watch - it is hard to stand still for more then a couple of minutes) sang an advent song and listened to the story of Jesus.
Wait, I see him and yes he is singing!
Here is the whole group
Finishing off by singing Jingle Bells, well down Blaise!

linear park

Linear Park, where part of Irondequoit Creek flows through known as "The Falls" or "The Hollow".  We hiked this part this morning where it drops about 90 feet in one mile creating a beautiful series of cascading waterfalls.  Daniel Penfield built the first mill in 1800 and today you can still see along the water some old foundations that remain.

The boys enjoyed the hike pointing out various trees, sizes of leaves, old foundations, etc.

telling personally

Barnes & Noble had a story time that included the reading of The Polar Express, drinking hot chocolate, eating cookies and meeting someone special.  Here you can see Ambrose has caught a glimpse of him . . .
Blaise is so excited he is jumping up and down and squeezing Daddy's face . . . can't say Daddy enjoyed that as much as Blaise catching a glimpse of the big guy.
Who am I talking about?  Well, Santa that's who.  The boys put in their requests - Blaise a car carrier for his matchbox cars and Ambrose a camera.  "Funny" Santa said Mommy should just give him her camera . . . I must say I didn't find it very funny.

concert

Ambrose played a guitar concert for his classmates today including the song Deck the Halls.  He didn't look up much rather was concentrating hard on performing . . .
. . . here you can see the concentration.  It is interesting to see the changes, where he used to have to look before changing finger position he goes from one note to the next with ease.  He had a wonderful performance!

christmas downtown

Last night we saw the Liberty Pole lit downtown.  We paraded down the street to Manahattan Square Park.  At the park we saw Santa, fireworks, figure skaters perform and went ice skating.  After two of us were getting cold one of us didn't want to stop.  Can you guess who?  No it wasn't Damian it was Blaise.  Don't worry we will be doing lots of skating this year.
