North Carolina visit

We drove down to North Carolina over spring break to see the Jorgensens. We visited with them and checked out their rental house. We spent time biking, hiking, playing tennis and catching up.

Huckleberry swamp

A drive to Sodus Point to take photos and notes on the boardwalk at Huckleberry Swamp for research. Ambrose is researching for his Eagle project which he hopes to do at Maceyville Trail (a trail we helped out in 2 years ago in Sodus Point). Stay tuned for more....

 

St. Patrick’s Day

Every St. Patrick’s Day it is a tradition in our family to celebrate Grandma. We make corned beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread. 

This year I saw someone at work wearing a scarf with four leaf clovers - just like the one Grandma used to wear with her coat. We miss you Grandma!

 

Making cheese

DIY kit bought for Damian at Christmas turned into a fun evening of trying to figure out how to make homemade mozzarella cheese. The directions were less than thorough, the amount of time more then we thought but the end result was good. Ambrose kept us going with a ‘we can do this’ attitude while the rest of us may have questioned why we were trying this. 

 

Codenames

Brand new board game where you give clues to have your partner guess certain cards (here’s hoping you can read each other’s minds). Challenging to come up with the clues as you can only give one word. It’s a keeper, we will play again.
