school picnic and still holding onto summer

Back to school time brings the Seton Family picnic and CYO soccer try-outs.  This year Blaise is old enough for CYO and he asked me 'do you think I will make the team?'  I tried not to giggle as I assured him he would (technically everyone makes the team).  But a valid concern as it is his first team doing CYO soccer.  Meanwhile, Ambrose helped set-up and then played with other kids on the playground at the picnic.

Then back out to Sodus Point . . . for the biggest waves of the whole summer!  Yes, it may have had some seaweed but these boys didn't care!
Jumping waves until he was shivering  . . .
Love this perspective of the bay . . .

school picnic

Three weeks of school down and transition from summer complete.  We still spend as much time as we can outside playing.

The school picnic was held at a different park this year, Brighton Town Park.  The new location brought a whole new set of adventures.  A nature hike, different playground and a couple of amazing trees.  Really we didn't need anything else except for these tree, outside time is the key . . .don't you agree?
