Udvar Hazy Air and Space, Air and Space on the National Mall, National Cathedral, Embassy Row, Natural History Museum, American History Museum, Smithsonian Castle, Ford's Theater, St. Patrick's Church for Easter Mass, private Capitol tour with police, all the monuments, Arlington Cemetery, National Archives, National Engraving and Library of Congress.

Wow!  What an incredible, fun, educational trip with our family.   The Jorgensen's were also in the city at the same time and we spent Easter day mass and dinners with them.  The boys spent soooo much time taking photos and well maybe I did too.  It was truly about the time together, learning and laughing and making memories.

Ambrose crosses over to Boy Scouts

Ceremony, celebration and good times were had by all tonight at the AOL crossover for Pack 65.  Ambrose has crossed over to Troop 31 and goes to his first meeting on Monday.  The Scoutmaster said they will already start working on a merit badge!

Damian was his den leader for the last 5 years.  He led the ceremony tonight and it got pretty emotional as he (Damian) is saying goodbye to his Scouts.  The arrows that were put together by each parent and plaque made by Damian are symbolic of their time in Cub Scouts.

7th grade field trip

Washington DC with 250 middle schoolers.  I personally chaperoned 8 boys (4 very mischievous ones).  Mainly I took in the sites and planned for our family trip in April . . .I can not wait to show the boys our beautiful capital!

My uncle's funeral, he was one of the Frozen Chosin.  We saw lots of relatives that we hadn't seen in quite awhile and caught up with my Aunt Toni.

rush rhees library tour, university of rochester

The Bears (Cub Scouts) went on a tour of the historic Rush Rhees library (University of Rochester).  There were 'fake' doors, tunnels to walk through, beautiful rooms, secret society and much more!  The boys thoroughly enjoyed learning about the library.

savannah/st simons island/jekyl island

Lighthouse, kicking in the surf, climbing in dead trees at Driftwood Beach, completing the Junior Ranger program at Fort Frederica, searching for island treasure on Jekyl Island, seeing rescued turtles at the Georgia Turtle Center, finding the Spirit Trees and much more!  What a great way to spend time over February break with Grandma and Grandpa.

blaise's birthday party

Blaise turns 9 tomorrow!  Today he had 3 friends over and Ambrose for a Herbie/Car Themed Party.  They went on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood for different makes of cars (we found every model on the list except for 'Land Rover').  They played with Hot Wheels, chatted, laughed, watched 'Herbie Fully Loaded" and dined on 'car' themed food (Pizza wheels, apple cars and a license plate cookie cake).  Blaise said it was a success!
