first day of school

It was a bittersweet moment this morning as we waited and waited for the bus (first day always a little delayed).  I captured the 'moment' by taking some photos.  And a very nice neighbor that was going to work offered and took a family photo.

It will be a year full of growing.  Blaise entering Kindergarten and Ambrose 2nd grade.  I will not have my little helper beside me but look forward to the time to pursue getting my book published.

Now . . it is almost time for the bus to come home, I can't wait to hear about the first day!

leg 1: before getting to the Cape

Where we had to tear Blaise away from the Land Rover in the parking lot so we could enter.  We stepped back in time with the Indians and Pilgrims.  Ambrose tried out a bed in the Indians 'winter' home.  We learned a number of interesting facts; one of which was they stack firewood in a circle because more will fit and less gets wet on the bottom.

On Monday, I attended a practice round of the PGA event held at Oak Hill Country Club.

Tents when you walk in including a 32,000 sq ft. pro shop on the left and a NY State Tasting booth on the right (wine, cheese, yogurt, maple products and cheese - yum!)
